Maid Fantastic is a residential cleaning service operating in Northern Virginia. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Maid Fantastic. "You" means anyone who visits our website, books a clean, or applies for a job.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Booking and contact details: name, email, phone number, service address, gate codes or access notes, and the type of clean you book.
- Job applications: name, contact info, work history, availability, references, and anything else you choose to share via the application form on our hiring page.
- Payment info: handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Messages you send us: emails, chat messages, or notes left for our team.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical details when you visit our site (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring page) used only to keep the site working and free of abuse.
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers or behavioral profiling cookies.
3. How we use your information
- To schedule, deliver, and follow up on cleans you book with us.
- To consider your application for employment and contact you about the role.
- To respond to questions and provide customer support.
- To send service updates (appointment reminders, invoices) and, only if you opt in, occasional marketing emails. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- To meet legal, tax, and safety obligations.
4. How we share your information
We share information only with parties that help us run the business, and only as needed to do their job. Those include:
- Our cleaning team members assigned to your home (name, address, access notes, scope of clean).
- Service providers we use for scheduling, payment processing, email, and website hosting. These vendors are bound by contract to use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Government or law enforcement, when required by valid legal process.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to a few exceptions (for example, records we are required to keep for tax or employment law).
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time.

6. Virginia residents (VCDPA)
If you are a Virginia consumer, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act gives you the rights listed above. We do not engage in targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or profiling that produces legal effects, so no opt-out is required for those activities.
7. Data retention and security
We keep booking and customer records for as long as you remain a customer plus seven years for tax and accounting purposes. Job-application records are kept for two years unless you ask us to delete them sooner. We use industry-standard security practices (HTTPS, access controls, encrypted backups) to protect your information.
8. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, contact existing customers by email.
