Terms of Service
Last updated: May 3, 2026. By booking a clean with Maid Fantastic you agree to these terms. Please read them.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you ("client") and Maid Fantastic ("we," "us"). They cover bookings, payment, our service guarantee, cancellation, liability, and how disputes are resolved.
2. Booking and scope
- Bookings are confirmed by email after you complete the form on our site or speak to our team by phone.
- The scope of each clean follows the published checklist for the tier you booked (Standard, Deep, or Move-In/Move-Out). Anything outside the published checklist is not included unless agreed in writing.
- If your home is significantly larger or in a significantly different condition than described at booking, we may need to adjust the price or duration. We'll always discuss this with you before any change.
3. Pricing and payment
- Prices shown on our site are the starting prices for typical homes in our service area. Final pricing is confirmed at booking.
- Payment is collected on the day of service via the payment method on file. Tips are appreciated but never expected.
- If a payment fails, we will email you within one business day and pause future bookings until it is resolved.
4. Our satisfaction guarantee
If you are not happy with any area we cleaned, contact us within 24 hours of the clean and we will return to re-clean that area at no extra charge. The guarantee covers the original scope of the clean (per the checklist) and not items outside that scope.
5. Cancellation and rescheduling
- You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your scheduled clean at no charge.
- Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a fee of 50% of the clean.
- If our team arrives and cannot access the home, we will charge a 50% lockout fee.
- If we have to cancel due to weather or staffing, you'll get the next available slot or a full refund — your choice.
6. Access and house rules
- You are responsible for providing safe access (keys, codes, or being present).
- Pets that may be reactive should be secured during the clean.
- Please tell us about fragile or valuable items in advance, and consider moving anything irreplaceable to a safe spot before we arrive.
7. What we will not do
- Climb higher than a two-step ladder.
- Move heavy furniture or appliances.
- Handle biohazards (blood, bodily fluids, mold remediation, hoarding cleanup).
- Clean exterior windows above the ground floor.
8. Liability
Maid Fantastic is licensed, bonded, and insured. If we damage something during a clean, please notify us within 48 hours so we can investigate and make it right. Our liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the affected item or the cost of the clean, whichever is lower. We are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing wear or by items not properly secured.
9. Privacy
Your personal information is handled per our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. We will try to resolve any dispute informally first. If we cannot, the dispute will be heard in a court located in Fairfax County, Virginia.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted at maidfantastic.com/terms is the current one. Bookings already confirmed are governed by the terms in effect at the time of booking.
